Somnieng, you are a saint in monks robes. When we met many years ago you made a profond impact on our life, which we will never forget We try to pass on as much as we have learned from you to all we meet. I am so proud when I talk to people about you and what you have achieved To help your cause further, is there any way that people in England can send money by standing order, without incurring the masive bank charges that reduces the donation to your organisation. well done Somnien, you are always in our thoughts.

As I didn't stay there, I can't speak of the accommodation. In general, the center is like a standard city temple. It looked pretty clean anyway and there's a convenience store with toothpaste and all that yogis might need. There is a long-serving Irish nun there who I'm told can be brought out to translate/teach. However, it is generally advised at the center that you go instead to Pa Auk's main center near Mawlamyaine.

Hello and blessings,

The Venerable Somnieng has had an impact on my life. I sang at Wat Damnak for World Food Day last year,a very humbling experience, and would never have thought I would doing it when I woke up that morning!
I will never forget the open heart and mind he has.
I also very much enoyed listening to him at "Monk chat" at the Peace Cafe. There, a true picture of Bhuddism in Wat Damnak was told to us and I was amused and enlightened.
A true leader with an honest heart and mind.
